On submission of the Genoese new X-Max 2010 the heads of Yamaha Motor Italy had suggested that the big news targate 2010 would not stop with just SuperTènèrè, but would go even further with the arrival of completely new products and not mere changes in existing models.
An important signal for the house of Iwata, who first accepted the criticism regarding the fact of not having “made good” at EICMA 2009 and has not stopped other projects and developments concerning the product, accepting challenges segment of the maxi-enduro and other naked in the middle of a cylinder: the new Yamaha FZ8, in fact, should go to support the very successful Yamaha XJ6 in a segment not yet covered by Yamaha, that between 750 and 800 cc, which showed the Kawasaki Z750 to be extremely interesting in relation to that customer in search of a vehicle that is not in the band “entry level” but even with the displacement of four digits.
The style of the new Yamaha should resume many of the FZ8 stylistic elements that have made popular the XJ6, although the first details revealed – the optical unit – as you can tell there has been an evolution in the forms to obtain targeted aggression in line with the potential of the engine quadricilindrico (16 valves), which could come to deliver 110 hp.
