A few days before the official launch of the new models FZ8 and XT1200Z Super Ténéré, which will occur March 12 in the Rome Motodays from the 11th to 14th March, Yamaha also shows the first official image of the FZ8 Fazer, version of the new half fairing naked average from 800 cc obtained by the downsizing of the FZ1 from 1,000 cc.

Exploring aesthetic there are not really new compared to the “seed” Fazer known to date: the windshield has revised form, both in terms of aerodynamic shape the optical unit, but it basically comes down to the lucky strand of the house half fairing Yamaha.

Interestingly, however, the “double layer” on the sides of the fairing of the new FZ8 Fazer, surely designed to channel the air without turbulence over the sides of the pilot. It also changes the exhaust system with silencer and double output shorter, lacking the control valve.

As for the engine the few leaked information involved suggests a reduction in engine capacity from 1,000 cc to 800 through the bore sizing, with the same run. The waiver in terms of power, compared to 150 hp declared for the FZ1, should be the order of 30, maximum 40 horses, in demonstrating the new average naked Iwata between 110 and 120 bhp tree.
