Live from Intermot 2010 in Cologne will show you the first pictures of the new Triumph Speed Triple: a surprising fact, the House of Hinckley has brought in Germany a new version is completely redesigned its most famous naked. The bike that has made the Triumph first unveiled back in 1994 – sold over 65,000 copies – comes a new twist. The design of the bike has been updated and is now much more aggressive and at the same time, more light to the eye. The bike will be available in three colors: Crystal White, Phantom Black and Red Diablo and its commercialization is expected by December 2010.

Its chassis has been completely redesigned, even though it retains the layout known fact that a good tube frame and aluminum swingarm. The weight distribution was changed by moving the engine forward in the frame and placing the battery in front all airbox, with the aim to further improve handling and stability. The fork is an upside-down fork with 43 mm fully adjustable brake and the system has been slightly improved, while maintaining the same radial Brembo calipers, discs fitted but thinner than 0.5 mm to reduce unsprung weight. For the first time on a Speed Triple will also be possible to mount as the optional ABS system. The rims are newly designed and led a mass savings of about 2 kg

The engine has been updated and now delivers max power of no less than 135 horsepower and a maximum torque of 111 Nm at 7,750 rpm. All the provision was revised and refined the mapping of the adoption of a different exhaust system. All these changes have also led to a significant reduction in weight from 217 to 214 kg in running order and with a full tank.

The rest of the range has seen some updates to the range cruiser with the new America, Speedmaster Thunderbird and 1600, but the best is yet to come because of Eicma Triumph has promised three more new models, among which we expect the new Tiger 800.
