In the context of the Milan Show 2009 one of the most interesting French proposals was undoubtedly that of the scooter of “small displacement” E-Peugeot Vivacity. Driven by a 100% electric powertrain, and boasts a maximum power of the fully equivalent to that of a normal fifty, the new proposal of Leon (now restyling) represents a clear vision of how Peugeot plans to tackle pressing issues related to compliance environment.
E-Vivacity, in fact, born to be a way of “ecological” get around the city, compared with a reasonable investment and operation and maintenance costs extremely low. Its lithium-ion battery recharges completely in 4 hours and 80% in about 2 hours, offering a range of 80-100 km.
The cost of use, compared to an equivalent heat release, allows to reduce no fewer than 10 times the cost, which are only 0.4 € per 100 kilometers traveled. Clean and quiet, like all electric vehicles, “Scooterino” French touch a maximum speed of 45 km / h (by law) and is proposed with a budget very much in line with that of a traditional scooter 50 medium range : The two disc brakes, for example, are part of standard kit.
For the moment E-Vivacity is only a “concept bike”, but Peugeot has already indicated that the new vehicle will enter in price during the course of 2011.
